FAQs

Are digital files included?

Yes. Once you have made your selection from the preview gallery, you will receive high-resolution, professionally edited digital files that can be printed and/or shared on social media platforms.

Can multiple pets be included in one session?

Yes. We can accommodate up to 2 pets per household during a photo session. The fee is $50 for the additional pet.

Do pets need training to participate?

Not at all. Basic safety commands are helpful, but personality matters more than perfect behavior.

Do you offer commercial pet photography?

Yes. I create pet-focused commercial and product imagery for brands, boutiques, veterinarians, and other pet-related businesses. This includes e-commerce and lifestyle imagery.

Do you work with rescue organizations or shelters?

Yes. I offer shelter and rescue sponsorship photography designed to help adoptable pets stand out and find homes faster.

How long does a session last?

Mini-sessions are 15 to 20 minutes and standard sessions are 1 hour, however, we typically factor in extra time based on your pet’s comfort level.

How soon will I receive my photos?

Preview galleries are typically delivered within 1–2 weeks, with final edited images shortly after selections are made.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Our outdoor sessions can be rescheduled if weather conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.

What if my pet is shy or energetic?

That’s completely normal. Sessions are designed to be relaxed and pet-led, with plenty of patience, breaks, and encouragement.

What makes pet photography different from regular portraits?

Pet photography is similar to portrait photography in technique, but the experience, pacing, and approach are very different because animals don’t follow direction the way people do. The photographer has to work around personality, energy level, comfort, and unpredictability while still creating polished, emotional images.

What should I bring to the session?

Because our photo sessions are held outdoors, primarily in public settings, we require your pet to be on a leash at all times. We offer high-value treats and squeaker toys and encourage you to bring their favorite toy to help keep your pet engaged during the shoot.

What types of pets do you photograph?

I photograph dogs, cats, and other small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. Because my sessions are currently held outdoors, I’m limited to photographing dogs and cats at this time. All pets need to be on a leash and comfortable being outside. If you’re not sure your pet is ready for an outdoor session, reach out and we can talk it through before you book.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions take place outdoors. During the discovery call, I will provide a list of pet-friendly parks to choose from. I also hold special mini-sessions at various locations in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
